Sacred Valley Tour

The Sacred Valley is a large area with many tourist attractions. While it is possible to visit most of them in one day, you would have very little time at each site and wouldn’t fully enjoy the experience. That’s why we’ve divided it into three options to visit properly. Each option starts at 7:00 AM from your hotel and ends between 6:00 and 7:00 PM in Cusco. We also offer Option D, which allows you to visit the entire Sacred Valley in one trip. Please see the options below and let us know which one you would like to choose.

Option A: By Pisac(Alpaca farm, Pisac ruins, Pisac Market, Ollantaytambo and Chinchero).

We will pick you up from your hotel lobby at 07:00 am in Cusco for your Sacred Valley 1 day tour. Then we will take a road that leads to Pisac. We will visit the 5 main sites, Awana Cancha where you see (Alpacas, Llamas, Vicuña, and Huanacos), Pisac Archeological site, Pisac Market, Ollantaytambo Archeological site and Chinchero.  Halfway, we will have our lunch in Urubamba, after lunch we can visit Brewery(optional) then we go to visit the Archeological Center of Ollantaytambo. After visiting Ollantaytambo, we will drive to visit the Chinchero ruins and then come back to Cusco.

Option B: By Maras( Chinchero, Moray, Salt Ponds, and Ollantaytambo).

On this option of Sacred Valley day tour from Cusco, we will pick you up at 07:00 am from your hotel too. The tour starts with a visit to the Textile Center of Chinchero, then the Colonial town of Maras. From Maras, we keep going to the nearby Inca site of Moray, a magnificent series of terrace circles set into the ground that was once used by the Incas for experimentation with crops, then the salt mines which have been in use since Pre-Inca times. Water from a subterranean stream is channeled through pools where it evaporates and leaves behind pure salt crystals. With thousands of stark white pools stretching down the valley, the views are amazing. Our final destination is Ollantaytambo ruins where we will spend an hour. After visiting Ollantaytambo, we will come back to Cusco by Huarocondo town to enjoy the amazing landscapes that Iscuchaca province offers.

The Sacred Valley at our own pace

We loved exploring Pisac and Ollantaytambo with someone who knows the valley so well. The stops were thoughtfully planned, and lunch with views of the mountains was a lovely touch.

An unforgettable walk through the Andes

The scenery was spectacular, but the people made this trek. Our guide encouraged us along the way, explained the history of the ruins and made sure everyone felt comfortable with the pace.

Wonderful views and a caring team

We appreciated the advice about acclimatising before the excursion. On the day, our guide was patient, we took plenty of breaks and the colours of the mountain were worth every step.
